Agora Group Ghana organizes conferences and seminar series nationwide, focusing on an effective
youth participation in Ghana’s democratic process. This aims to involve the Ghanaian youth in the policy making
process and empower them to contribute meaningfully to national decision making and leadership. This is done alongside
a strong advocacy to broaden the scope of opportunity for quality education in Ghana. At Agora, we believe the creation
of a literate youth population is a sure way of achieving a safe, just and independent society.
Under the charity initiative, we advocate for the needy and mobilize support for the over
28% (2007, Ghana Statistical Service) of Ghana’s population, predominantly rural who live in abject poverty,
particularly women and children regardless of tribe or religion. We aim to complement national efforts to
restore normal and dignified life to the poor through provision of basic life needs, eradicating illiteracy
and inability to participate effectively in decisions that affect their lives.
